Written by Ammie:
… as Adam is. Namely, I have been too tired to accurately document my comings and goings by the end of the day, due to my near sleepwalking state that hits by about ten PM each night. The few times I have sat down to blog, I can’t think straight. I don’t know how the Amazing Sleepless Man does it, but I respect him for his ability to function 25 hours straight every day!!
But here I am, tables turned, and Adam is snoozing blissfully on the couch as I type away… Nice to see him finally able to sleep early!!
Today was the first full day of “relax” that we have had since we hit the road over a week ago. It was nice (boring as it is) to get to clean and do some laundry, and we went for a ride on our “fearsome steed” down a BEAUTIFUL country road this afternoon to watch the sunset.
But let me backtrack for a bit, because way too much awesomeness has happened in between to leave out…
Adam couldn’t have said it better about Naselle, Washington. THANK YOU Frank for reminding us that misfortunes often turn into hidden treasures! No I know I sound cheesy, but seriously, we were freaking out about gas, thought we were going to break down in the middle of nowhere… We just happened to see the “gas” sign on the side of the road, and managed to bump into a much-needed reminder of how life works in mysterious ways to give us what we need, even if we don’t know we need it… (And kareoke, by the way, has been long absent in my diet.) I really hope to hear from some of the Oh Carol’s “crew” sometime soon- their genuine enthusiasm for life and openess to us was such an amazing feeling and left a lasting impression!!
